Great video! One cheat that I have done is visit a hardware store paint aisle and scoop up the paint Swatch color harmony books that show 8+ swatches and room examples. I scan those in carefully and eyedropper the swatches to create a working palette.

I remember seeing the process video on twitter. The artist uses some sort colored foam that sets quickly they physically sculpted that green texture.

That was helpful. Yes, we designers are struggle for our colors choices in our designs. It would be great if you included in your video, some Online tools we can use to create our color harmonies pallettes from that one main color. Thank you.

You ignored the yellow parts in the blue design. Still very small details, so I won't deny you could call it an analogous colour scheme, but why would the next design with the green gradient be a split complementary scheme then? The amount of red is kind of negligible there.

I have always struggled with color we just don't understand each other the more you understand complimenting colors though the less you fail. Funnily enough I decided to use the colors from your 3/10 10/10 video on my latest painting vibrant electric blue and lava orange winning combo.

What I am struggling with is this ....

1 Do you consider a colour scheme before you start and then pick the colours? Or do you (with the experience you have) just KNOW what will work and then you think "Ah I've used a split complimentary there"?

2 Say I used a base colour. Do my other colours have to be base colours? Or can I use a base colour of one and say a tint of another?

Good luck understanding what I mean lol
