some of the notes in the second half of measure 48 and measure 49 are off by a sixteenth note. instance, the snare hit should be on the uh of 3 and not on 4. the snare with open hat should open the 49th measure on 1 with the kick on the e. the second beat is correct but then there is a snare on e into the crash sizzle on the and of 3 tied until the next measure.

i don't think it's in 4/4 the entire first section. On the eleventh measure, the snare does not land on the fourth beat, and the same happens afterwards.

Huh. Interesting take! I totally hear the "it could be a compass" part as pickups into the downbeat with the snare starting on "one." So the phrasing feels entirely different. Works either way though!
