I need a new log hauler to get logs from the back of our property. I can upcycle this old trailer and get everything I need to make a nice heavy duty log hauler. The only things I will need to add is the chain and wench. :)

If you like to see things get built, made, and fixed this is the channel for you.

We are a family that moved out to the country to escape the fast paced city life. We sold our house, cashed out my 401k, and found a piece of property that had nothing on it. Doing the work ourselves, building our homestead from scratch, paying as we go, living the dream. Follow along with us on our journey as we build our homestead debt free.

Everything is straight square and true, well made. Always fun to see experience at work.

I find your videos constructive because you do not waste time with a lot of words. When you do generally speak you rarely talk about nothing and are not redundant. Simple, efficient and effective. Well done.

Hey buddy nice build very useful piece of equipment.I built an arch similar to yours a couple of years ago. I put the cable under the log and hook it to the top so that way it 1/2 the weight on the winch, parbuckle the log. I’m an old fart and don’t want ware out my shoulders. Thanks for sharing God bless you and yours!!

Great idea! Should be able to haul much larger logs than just a boom pole on the 8n. Thanks for sharing!

Just what I was looking for, I like the fab for the wheels, I'd like to make mine a bit longer with removable cross braces, over pretty cool

Mighta made things easier to leave the axle in 1 piece while positioning and welding, then cutting out the middle, save all that alignment time.

You'll get some use out of that 👍

Nice built log arch! Looks to be very heavy duty & compact. I modified and old propane tank trailer into a log arch works pretty good just big and gawky. Got video of it on my channel. Good looking shop you have too, loved those big doors. Nice video!

Damn. I buried the frame remains of a small camper behind a house we were redoing. I wish I had that trailer base now, I need to make a log arch.

Nice rig! Don't you guys get flash blind from welding? Welding is fun i think but I seem to get flash blinded. Maybe my auto darken is not working as fast as it should.

How long did it take you to complete this rig?

Thanks!

Nice video. I have been thinking about making one myself. I have 3 questions right now. How tall is it? How wide between the tires? How long from the center point of the wheels to the hitch. Thanks for sharing this video
