I love this movie so much. My kids love this movie so much. My wife? Not so much.
My family moved to Austin in 72 just a year after this movie was supposed to have taken place. What I don’t understand is why they cut at least 2 scenes out of the modernized version. I wish I could find the original with the swimming hole and with the bikers stealing their gas. There was nothing in it to cause these scenes to be taken out.

You might try narrating the story to match the actor being highlighted at that moment. It's hard to keep up with the story about another actor while reading the info and seeing a different actor being highlighted. Just my 2 cents worth.
