Connections is turning 30!

Over the past three decades, an incredible 125,000 young people have taken part in our landmark youth theatre programme, which brings together some of the UK's most exciting writers, like Dear England's James Graham, with the theatre-makers of tomorrow. Previous participants include actors David Oyelowo, Keira Knightley and John Boyega, as well as National Theatre Deputy Artistic Director Robert Hastie.

Today, we're sharing this new film to celebrate the past thirty years of Connections.

Best of luck to the 5,500 young people who are performing new plays on the stages of 33 leading theatres nationwide as part of this year's Connections Festival. We can't wait to celebrate this milestone birthday with you in June, where 10 youth theatre groups will come together to perform on our national stage.
