That RTX 5070 is going to drop many other GPU prices. Not only that, but PC prices from previous high-end builds will drop also. With that much performance in such a smaller design, it makes me wonder how much more powerful and cheaper gaming laptops will be and the advantages gaming consoles could also get from such a leap for future graphics and graphics cards.

For those who followed the history graphics industry, Jensen's first graphics chip NV1 had trouble rendering even popular games like Quake.... amazing how their engineers led by Jensen steered their company modus operandi to follow market demands, to meet game requirements and to exceed them. By assigning teams of threes to churn out three graphics chip models in 6-month cycles so their competitors could never catch up to them. Jensen's gift of corporate poaching of brightest engineer talents also helped the company stand above the rest. Attracting standout talents in the industry were the other secret sauce to Nvidia's success. Once a competitive advantage fostered by the likes of Elon Musk and his Tesla & SpaceX companies. CEO Musk's erratic behavior of late risks rendering that edge obsolete.

A lot of this is more disturbing than anything. Especially the AI blueprints? Literally another program to replace more jobs? Saying that the IT departments will turn more into a type of HR? Yeah right companies will just try and lay off the IT departments instead. With even less jobs it is going to get to the point of no one even able to buy anything. What do we do just sit around 15 years from now?

Here's what nobody is mentioning. Jensen said RTX Blackwell could deliver 4000 AI TOPS and then there's a display of the real-time from an unnamed GPU. Later he shows a 5090 (you can see that's what is says on the card) and a slide showing it with only 3400 AI TOPS. So.. where's the other 600? I'll tell you. The 5090ti / RTX Titan b is going to be the real range topper. They just want to see how many people will pay for the cut down cards first. And that gap between the 5090 and 5080 screams 5080ti and 5080 Super.
