@BrandonioProductions Tried code on the video after updating DLL and the msgbox problem wasn't fixed (but it wasn't the same as last time)

Then I changed it so it was something like "If update.downloadsuccess= False then Msgbox..", but it didnt fix

Warnings keep coming up like UpdateVB is missing, something about its version and that it might not work.What I did was delete it on the Solution Explorer and start all over again.Warnings don't always pop up, just randomly.

Thanks a ton, everything works but this

When I took out my internet connection to test the error message:

1) MY error message doesn't pop up, the DLL one pops up with a message box...I'd just preffer making my own to add vbinformation and changing what it says a bit.

2)After I click OK to the message box produced by the DLL, MY "no update needeed" message box pops in.


I'll try to fix it tomorrow, since I'm tired right now and can't really think straight. But just in case I can't fix it...

I know this might sound stupid, but the update component has been updated. I don't mind using a later version of the component, but the code for it has unfortunately changed :\. For instance, it doesn't have the code for check for internet connection anymore. I guess what I am getting at is please make an updated tutorial on this due to the component update. Thanks. :)

The UpdateVB_2 thing is giving me a hard time because it gives me an error saying "Expected type" saying it should change it to "_0.UpdateVB". But naturally after changing it, everything else after it falls like dominoes. That expected type makes the whole entire project fail. Any suggestions?

Did you change everything in your DLL file so that the code is a little varied? Can't really find anything now...

Doesnt work. When I try to use UpdateVB_2.UpdateVB_2 it gives me an error. The file is called "UpdateVB 2.4" The name has spaces and periods I think that may be the problem. but if you rename it It can't load.

Help updatevb updated to UpdateVB 2.0 and the import is now "Imports UpdateVB_2" and all the codes are different :S

its all different. its all different now. like nothing is the same. the updateVB library is TOTALLY different.

I developed my own Updater which checks a file on my server and sees if it is the same as the program version. If it is not then it just download the latest version from my server :D The only thing I developed entirely by myself.

Hey! if i wanna download update ".exe" it works, but when i wanna get update on ".rar" it won't work? why!?!?!? help me :(

Honestly (not kissing ass), most tutorials out there suck, yet they have a couple of thousands views...yours is pretty straightforward and you don't have that "umm....ummm...umm" that most Youtube coders have :P

Ok, many questions. First off, which version did you use for the video? And with the updates how do you use the 2.5 version? So confusing if you don't post about the 2.5 update, pretty much this video is WAY OUTDATED, cause I'm not deep into the video and 3 commands are already not in the 2.5 api.
