As a long time raiders fan, DEREK CARR was NEVER the issue. It was the defense that he was stuck with on the Raiders. Now you have him paired up with one of the best defenses in the league, its going to go down! Carr deserves every bit of this from what he went through, and all those coaches he went through.

The fact that Carr lead the Saints to 9 wins last year WITH Carmichael as the OC should tell you all you need to know about his talent level

If he doesn't get hurt against Green Bay...we win the South and who knows how far in the playoffs with as hot as he was playing at the end of the year.

this year Derek Carr is the emperor of tuddies and yards

Rich Gannon was throwing to hall of fame WR's in Tim Brown and Jerry Rice. Carr didn't throw to a hall of fame WR until his 9th year when Adams joined the Raiders. In fact I can honestly say that the 2024 Saints are the best team & coached Team Carr has ever played with. Go look at the roster of all the Raiders teams in Carr 9yrs and tell me if I'm lying

Derek Carr had the most minor stability throughout his career and has played exceptionally well. You watch every game in his career when he's healthy and has time and a good connection with the caller. He plays amazingly, has bottom defenses, and puts his team in extraordinary situations to win games. You look at stats, have taken that stir, and draw reactions if he wins MVP and a Superbowl. I want you to publicly admit you are a clown that knows less than you think look at his offensive line rankings throughout his career 😂

Damn Matt, even when the Saints are doing good you still have to find something negative to say. There’s no need to justify your’s and the national media’s opinion on Carr. Just enjoy the ride and find positive things to say for the whole show. PS I’m a Metairie native living in Dallas and I’m limited on Saints news so help me out by praising them saints every once in a while.

Nice try Matt, but Gannon didn’t start until his third or fourth season, then later on rode the bench in KC for three years. Kinda of like Brees who was floundering in SD for four or five years until Sean rescued him and built an offense around him and gave him stability for 16 years.

Carr, on the other hand started from day one. He was supposed to be Schaub’s backup but he is such a tremendous competitor and he did so good in the preseason that they gave him the job. By his third year, he was the leading MVP candidate and led the Raiders to a 12-3 record before breaking his ankle. Then they fire his OC in the off-season. Then they fire his coach and OC the following season. He has gone through 8 offensive systems in 11 years.

I hope this Saints offensive ride lasts all year, and Matt gives DC a new nickname. Titan of Touchdowns, President of Passing, Rebel of the RedZone, Demon of the Deep Pass😊

Was the empty yards warranted?? Idk bc it seems like it was Carmichael and not DC. he was amazing the last 5 games of season when they started running more motion and PA. So I don't think it was ever warranted. You gotta give players especially new players more time in a new system. You gave him no time at all

In the Rams game, Carr threw that laser like touchdown to AT Perry and got within 8 points with 4 minutes left in the game. Had the defense got a stop, they may have won. That’s hardly “empty” yards.

BTW, in all of those 7-9 seasons for the Saints when Brees was still throwing like a madman for 5000 yards a season, were those “empty” yards?

Carr is a great qb when he has time to throw. He’s extremely accurate and has a pretty big arm. When he has time he’s definitely a top 10 guy.

Reminder that Matt wants the team to tank so they can draft a Bryce Young.

You can't base that man career off of playing with the raiders we're talking about the raiders

Everyone that has actually followed Derek Carr knew and tried to tell you he is this good. Goes to show how much the critics actually know. Where was Drew Brees rated when he came to the Saints? Cuz he wasn't THAT great with the Chargers. Empty yards are proof he did his job where the rest of the TEAM, because football is a team sport, didn't do theirs. And its why I stopped watching this channel. This is probably the most crow this guy will allow himself to eat. I'm satisfied. Bye to this channel.

Man your hard to stomach, he was on one the worst teams in the NFL, including last year's Saints. He had the worst of everything and still had a winning season. No QB could win and that's been proven through analytics. So get head out of you know where your like a broken completely wrong record. All you do is look at results wins and loses not at his better than most hall of famer's statistics. Brees 1 SB? Played on a sub par franchise, not his fault.
