Thank you Paul for getting back to doing most of these videos. Nothing against anyone else on the team, but you explain things in a way that is leaps and bounds above others. Love the videos!!

Hey just wanted to say thank you so much for these reviews... as a new rider in the electric scooter world i knew nothing but this account has really helped me make this

Paul's smile at 13:20 sold me. Take my money! No seriously, after I purchase a Talaria x3 (shoutout Sur Ronster), then build an RSF650, this is the very next purchase. In depth, honest, PROVEN data and fun are what make your content so easy to rabbit hole binge. Best scootz in a specific price range? You've got a video. Best scootz for speed ALSO in a price range? You've got a video. Best cheapest scootz? Best luxury scootz? You name it, you review it. Appreciate your content and keep up the excellent information. Riders Guide is good, too.

26:46 After absorbing this video a 2nd time, I don't mind the older styling and can tolerate the folding mechanism but that adjustable, telescoping stem design just has too much play in it for some of us. While not ideal, the clamp actually locks fairly solidly but it's the diameter of the tubing on the upper half. It just doesn't have the inherent rigidity that a full size, large diameter stem has... like their FF Lite for example. While they might be forced to use this design due to this model being offered with the seat option, they use the same system on their EQ and P1 3.0 which sort of abandons their stem flex sensitive riders. While I accept it on a low-mid performance scooter like the Emove Cruiser S, I can't adopt it on an all out sport scooter with all the loads at play. Solar does their homework, so I'm not saying it won't last, I'm just saying I don't like the flex and feel of the telescoping models. Lastly, it would be nice if Solar offered battery options that included LG or Samsung cells. I understand this would cost more but people like myself are willing to spend more up front to increase the reliability long term. I'm one of those people who always gets the LG or Samsung option and larger capacity battery when it's an option. There's literally no down side other than cost and often we're only talking a difference of 10-15%. In the example where the premium cells also offer more watt hours, I'd rather have the range and not use it rather than need the range and not have it. I wish more scooter companies would realize their enthusiast buyers... Apollo Go design team... I'm talking to you. :)

Great review Paul! I've had the Solar P1 3.0 for two weeks now and have logged almost 200 miles! Absolutely love that scooter. Do you think it's worth upgrading to the Solar P1 Pro?

Got the base 3.0, nearly 1k miles within a year, will be using it until it breaks then this will not be a bad option, but the different handle bar looks far more stable

This looks ok but I want you to review the Solar Hyperion. Also on your test can you include metric system details and personally I would like results shown for Ramier to show the results for the bigger guy. Being a taller person I feel there is little to no comments on handle bar heights for the scooters. I think is is a major comfort factor for daily riders.

I have this exact scooter, why did you say there is no app? There is an app for the display, you just have to scan the QR code on the back of the display to download it. Solar does not tell you about this app though.

16:06 I'm guessing you've ridden quite the array of scooter chassis; over a hundred types minus duplicates as a wag. Do you have empirical tips on recovering from any type of death wobble or instability? When in doubt throttle out? On a motorcycle or dirt bike, it does have truth to it, shifting your weight and using the throttle to cut or add power. I theorize it changes the natural frequency of the steering group to get away from the death harmonic. My 2021 WWX is a stable unit cruising 35-40 mph, got hundreds of miles there. I got it because you all observed it was stable with that dual stem design and the physics of it, and I confirm your observations.

Great review, Paul. It's quite the value all things considered. The boxy design, 2X2 front suspension and telescoping stem are definitely not the contemporary style but a lot of performance per dollar is gained for those who don't care about the milk crate between two wheels look. I've always thought Solar was a cool company but their designs just haven't spoken to me lately. Recently, I revisited the Solar FF Lite (2024 version) and thought wow! this seems to be a stand out on many levels with the improvements they've made. Besides being the best looking scooter in their line up (subjective of course) at 70lbs it's one of the lightest, C-type suspension, 40mph scooters available. It also has NFC cards, a hugely improved headlamp, all new display, a choice twist or thumb throttle (the trigger is gone) and a motorcycle grade horn, just to name a few. I remember that you did an unboxing of the 2023 model but then never did a full review. I know that sometimes that means it didn't make the grade at ESG but I'm not sure if that's the case or not. Regardless, the 2024 looks spectacular and is around $1700 with discount code. This puts it about $500 below the RS5 Max I just picked up, while not falling that far behind in performance. It seems like it might compete with the Roadrunner RS5 Max, Mantis King GT, VSETT-10 at a lower price and offer some more modern features. I sure would like to get ESG's thoughts if possible in a review. To my mind, the difference between the 2023 and 2024 FF Lite is even more significant than the differences between the first gen RS5 plus and 2nd gen RS5 Max.
