Paramount-Skydance Complete Deal, Ellison to Be CEO

Paramount Global and Skydance Media agreed to a merger that hands control of the storied Hollywood studio to producer David Ellison. Paramount Chair Shari Redstone agreed to sell her family’s National Amusements Inc., which controls about 77% of the voting stock in Paramount, for $2.4 billion, completing a deal that was months in the making. Felix Gillette reports on Bloomberg Television.

This was probably a better deal if compared to what Sony wanted to do with the assets of Paramount Global if they had won the bidding war.

At least this round of drama has been put to bed... I fully expect more to come as Paramount is STILL the sickest of the media conglomerates by a country mile... Shari already drove down the stock 80% under her leadership did she not??
