I miss when we had the CBC on cable. Interesting shows, clever ads, and the double-header hockey Saturdays...

If only more providers carried it.

I remember being amazed at the logo at 6:40 when I was a kid with the lines moving and the words "Ici Radio-Canada." My mother went to the library and borrowed VHS tapes from the library, of Marie Quat'Poches, a kids TV show that aired on Radio-Canada when she was a kid, and this logo played before the show would start.

The logo from 1974-1985 is known as the "exploding pizza". The CBC butterfly was used to promote colour TV sales, just like the NBC peacock logo did.

I really like your home made bumpers. Very creative & I appreciate the work put into it. Cool that you used the old music (the violin/flute melody from the 70s).👍 I wish they would bring that back.

This was also the home to the very awesome Mercer Report. That show was great and funny.

The last time Toronto won a Stanley Cup, CBC was still doing “Colour Presentations!”

I grew up in northwest PA. CFPL in London came in clearly as far back as I can remember. We watched shows and events that most American kids never did, such as HNIC, The Friendly Giant, and Pierre Burton.

2:21 Reminds me of the logo history of our NBC peacock, where from this same era when color TVs were just coming into the mainstream here in the USA, it would come with its own music and slowly open up and begin a show.

I lived in the United States, but don't live in Canada. Nice history of CBC (The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) between English and French.

the 1986 one looks like something people would use on the late 90s or the early 2000s
