Focus Fusion Direct Conversion to Electricity

A Focus Fusion energy generator will be able to convert energy directly to electricity, without using the expensive steam cycle turbines that have been used since Edison’s time. This video explains how the direct conversion occurs. Energy from the fusion reactions of hydrogen and boron in a plasma focus device produce high-energy helium nuclei. The device accelerates the ions into a focused beam, which is converted to electricity by induction. X-ray radiation from the hot plasma is also converted to electricity by a photoelectric device.

finally a way to generat electricty through a fusion reactor without using heat to boil water to spin a turbine, though I imagine in a stationary generator you could use the cooling system to spin multiple turbines as well to genrate even more electricity and even feed some of that back into the reactor.
