Great vid like always Gem. Blackest Night is one of my favorites, very happy with this omnibus. I do like how it's put together, but yeah a table of contents would have been nice. Oh and finally got my Thor Breaker of Brimstone statue, love it, course love Aaron's thor run too.

You really need to do a recent reads on Saga and read it straight through. It takes a couple issues to appreciate the story since it's so unique but it remains one of my favorite comics next to preacher.

I love DBZ. I’m currently watching Dragon Ball Z Kai which is remastered and recut so that the consistency of the anime is the same as the manga. I think that’s a better way to watch it.

Nice Haul. I'm loving that X-O Manowar, its a great read. The artists on the book are great too. Artist Tomas Giorello kills it on the book, his work can also be found on Ninja-K written by Christos N. Gage, it's awesome.

I got the original DB set for $81 and DBZ for $127 before tax and had to replace both because of damaged volumes even had some with the replacements so had to do some swapping around, but that's typical with my shit luck with books. Then I noticed the prices skyrocket so I was glad I got them when I did. I've read and I've been caught on Saga and I'm hoping to get it at some point even the the last issue ends on a rough note and there hasn't been a new chapter/issue (more of a manga reader and not a comic reader so not knowledgeable on comic terms) in like a year I think and that's going off a huge cliffhanger. There's a compendium coming out close to my birthday later in the year that collects the whole series as of now, but it's paperback and for 1, 400+ pages in paperback that just doesn't sound great even though right now I could get it like 3 times cheaper than the 3 deluxe volumes out atm. I read all 42 volumes of DB/DBZ already and it was so fast. So much faster than the anime at least for Z (I haven't seen the original anime series) and it was still great, but it was just too fast for me. There's a lot you lose out on in the manga compared to the anime like obviously the voices and animation, but definitely with having more time with characters and the big moments. They're just done better in the anime, way more impactful . I'm still glad I got the manga and read it.

This is the kind of thing that I can give you a great suggestion because I’m a big fan of the Dragon Ball franchise. Dragon Ball as manga and anime are not to different because the anime doesn’t have to much filler. Dragon Ball Z however is different majorly between the manga and the anime. The one thing that is bad in my opinion is that DBZ has the Garlic Jr. Arc which makes no sense to be in the main series because his first appearance is in the first DBZ movie. The movies are mostly kind of what if scenarios because most of them don’t fit into continuity with the main series. I feel like DBZ has a little bit of good filler but most of it is dragged out with super long battles and a lot of filler. If you want to watch a good version if you haven’t already is Dragon Ball Z Kai. I know opinions vary on the series but the best parts of it are that they redubbed the whole series and is more accurate to the manga and over all takes away about 90ish percent of the filler. the blackest night omni is cool ofc but damn 1000+ pages is too uncomfortable to read. I made it through the Brightest Day and that was a challenge) I wish they made 4-5 deluxe hardcovers for blackest night. That would be my option.
