98% Mobile Page Speed Insights with Elementor and without using WP Rocket or Nitropack

With some thought and the use of Free Plugins - I took a 73% Scoring Page on the Mobile built with Elementor to 98% !!!!

Plugins to use:
- PNG to JPG
- IMAGES to WEBP
- WP Fastest Cache
- Autoptimize

And one thing .... that is never mentioned ... well - it worked for me!

You will be surprised.

With Elementor, careful thought, and one trick - you will be mega-close to 100% for Mobile Pages.

Let's do it.

PPPPS: I must stress that we only build with Elementor and no other Page Builder.

Hey @Web Squadron.
Sorry, but you made one big mistake. You CAN NOT deactivate Google Fonts. Elementor has the fonts NOT built in, it just loads the Google Fonts. If you still see the correct fonts you either didn't clear all caches, you've installed the font localy or you just didn't recognise that the fonts have changed to the defaults. You have to store the fonts on your host. Elementor has the function "Custom Fonts" for this.

Also: If you set the caching plugin and the autoptimize to these strong settings, it may work on your example page, but it will kill more complex web pages mostly.

JPG, PNG, WebP?
That depends on the type of image. I use PNG a) for graphic elements and/or b) for images with transparencies. If you convert these images to JPG, you lose the transparency. In this case, you should convert directly from PNG to WebP.

Nevertheless: Keep going! See you in the elementor community. 😉

I do not use Elementor. I work mainly with the native Gutenberg. But I was curious what's gonna happen if I do exactly the same and remove Google fonts using the autoptimize plugin. I was convinced that will cause some serious trouble. So I uploaded a kadence online shop for testing and guess what...the shop was in perfect shape and the mobile score increased from 82 to 94. I was like....wtf.... Thanks a lot.

Love the content. I tried it out. Sadly I didn't get quite the results you've obtained. It only increased my mobile score from 38 to 47. Nonetheless, it's always nice to have another trick up your sleeves for the future.

Hi Imran, new to the channel but I love what you’re creating. About this video; can’t believe it hasn’t exploded yet. This is what everyone wants 😁
Gonna try it out on some sites I have and see if I can get it to do the same.

Yup, you don't need Google fonts unless you are purposely using custom fonts on your site. Fonts are built into browsers. 2 major types. San-Serif & Serif, that's it. If you're browsing on Chrome\Edge\Windows\Android you will view pages with Arial (san-serif) & Times New Roman (serif) fonts, if your on Mac/iPhone/Safari then you will view pages in Helvetica (sans-serif) & Times (serif). The font differences are nothing across different browsers to the untrained eye.

Thank you for your suggestions. Just a friendly reminder. More plugin = issues. WP Rocket counts as 1 plugin while your wp site has 4 to do the same job.
Redundancy is not what you need when it comes to performance on a WP website :) .
Nice content though for smaller sites such as blogs etc.

2 years later you still use autoptimze or do you optimise by starting with gutenberg and building the blocks for speed? i see many use page builder and themes that are heavy load on the server and they sarcrifice on speed. What are your thoughts? i m lokking for a tutorial on gutenberg that starts from zero to designing a complete webpage in gutenberg using fast theme like astra and without using any extra bloatware. Also the disable lazy load part i like alot on autoptimize but what will be 4th image? and not each page has 4 images in the above the fold. How to fix this on a page per page scenario?

My score actually improved with this method, but I encounter an issue with it. My pages font were jumbled, I dont know how to explain it but my pages fonts were re-arranged. I tried fixing it in Elementor but it didnt do a thing so I revert to original settings.

Wow!. for the first time I got a 97 score on desktop for my site. Mobile is still a work in progress though hitting 65. But this is insane. Thanks for this tutorial.

Bro please help me. I have landing page. And I have code in “custom code” elementor. That code creates phone mask. But this mask only use on pop up form. How can I delay this js code till opening pop up?
