Hello Sir,
I'm referring To Jain And Iyengar, it's summation in 1st and subsequent derivatives of y should have summation from 1, 2... respectively. Moreover if we think logically, in (y') if we take from 0 to infinity, for the constant term in series, the derivative becomes (constant/x). But it should be 0.

Sir i have a question, if legendre already has a assumed solution i.e., y = Σ αr x^m-r . Then why are we using power series solution (y=Σαr x^r) to. Solve the legendre's equation.. Can't we use legendre's solution.

Sir agar apne r ki jagah r+2 put kiya toh apko summation ta limit r=2 se infinity ♾️ lena parega. Agar waha r=0 se start karenge toh 1st term a2 se start hoga. Then what about a0 or a1 ?

at 8:00 if u put r=r+2, then limit will be from r=-2 to infinity..how can we combine them?
also, a7=-1/16 a1...not -1/48 a1

Sir, at 7:37, while putting r = r+2 limits should also be changed . The changed limits should be from r = 2 to infinity

Sir while putting r= r+2 limit should also be changed but why you didn't change that it's so confusing. I think u are very busy that's why you are hurrying up a lot so we can't understand it properly. But thanks for ur constant support.

Solve: (2+ x^2) y2 + xy1 + (1+x)y =0
Sir in this problem x=0 is an ordinary point. But in book they have taken it to be reg singular point and solved. I am unable to understand sir. I am talking about das pal engg mathematics vol. 2, page-(3-75).
