Senate passes stopgap funding bill

The US Senate passed a stopgap bill to avert a government shutdown. The Continuing Resolution would fund the federal government until December 16. The measure also approves $12 billion for Ukraine's defense against Russia's invasion. The Senate vote was 72 to 25.
