I learned the hard way that co-works are JUST co-workers.NOT friends.

Every disappointment is a blessing. Never put your faith in a person, that way you will never be disappointed.

This is the most I’ve ever heard him talk in 25 years.

I don't think it had to do anything with price (or may be it did a bit). My speculation is that main reason Officer Byrd wasn't approached was that Judy wanted her grand daughter to be launched who is an unknown face, a newcomer. So on Judge Judy, Judy is the main star and after her Officer Byrd gets all the attention, so is he is there Judy's grand daughter won't be getting the kind of traction Judy may have wanted her to get. I don't know... its a far fetched theory, but seems a like a reason to me Judy won't ask him to return, because as they say... family comes first.

That’s why any opportunity I get for a better job, I’m leaving my current job to do it. I’m only loyal to myself and what benefits my family! Right thru!

If she wanted a new bailiff, she could've been woman enough to tell him. It's kinda cowardly

Let's go Byrd. Well, apparently she had a change of heart, because he's now one of the bailiffs on Tribunal Justice on Amazon Prime.

After hearing him say "they have never even had lunch together in 25yrs", I understand why she didn't ask him to be on the new show. They were just coworkers but being a two person act, a phone call saying "I'm doing my own thing" would have been a nice gesture.

I’m not shocked. She saw him as “a bailiff” not a human being. Let it be a wake up call for all, to never feel comfortable at your job

God has something better for him. Trust and be encouraged.

What does price yourself out mean? 35 years of knowing her, 25 years of service and having her back. She couldnt respect him enough to give him a better reason.🙍🏾‍♀ Wow

How can he overprice himself when there was never negotiations? She is not a nice person. The world knows that.

She tells him HE overpriced HIMSELF but yet she’s the highest paid judge on tv?! I could say a lot but I’ll leave this right here but I WILL say this, if she wanted him on her new show, he would’ve been there…

He was a school counselor and school safety officer here in Foster City, Ca. in the 90's. Not only did he help change the lives of the kids, but always took interest in helping his co-workers and anyone that needed guidance. A great sense of humor too. Bryd is a great man, and deserved a better farewell from the show, and most definitely deserved a call from Judy letting him know that she wasn't having him back. At the very least, she should have called him, not the other way around.

After 30 years of service, my co-worker (a cashier) was fired because $61 was missing out of her drawer! Mind you, the supervisors are in and out of our cash registers…skimming money, giving more bills and change, etc.
We have surveillance cameras, unless they could prove on camera that she pocketed the money…she should have NOT been fired!
Thanks for 30 years!! 😬

I absolutely love Byrd! He is definitely a class act and I wish him and his family well!

I’m saddened to hear how Officer Byrd found he wasn’t considered. The reason was weak and disingenuous. But, it was telling that over decades when he contacts the Judge she responds. Possibly in her mind it was best to keep professional & personal relationships separate. It didn’t appear he was complaining vs sharing his story. Everyone else is speculating and taking sides.

Clearly, she looked at Byrd as the help, albeit very well paid help. It's her show and she can do what she wants, but this was handled in a classless, tacky manner. Judge Judy may find that her show has just run out of steam. Sometimes it's better to quit while you're ahead.
