Coastal town Hastings calls for housing crisis solutions

For the second report of our Sea Wall series, looking at the coastal towns of England and Wales, we’ve been to Hastings on the south coast.

The constituency has become emblematic of the UK’s housing crisis, with millions spent on temporary accommodation and homelessness soaring.

A marginal seat, Hastings and Rye was held by the Conservatives in 2019, and on the new boundaries, they would have a majority of just over three-thousand votes.

The interest rate has increased eight times since March of last year, to 5% now. When I was in UK. I saw empty boarded up streets under a constant grey sky, litter everywhere.
Homeless people sleeping in doorways. A women with cat whiskers makeup casually walking into Tesco with her pajamas. Opioid addicts out of their mind and women so drunk they urinated on the streets.
It's a sad declined country.

Vote for Labour and everyone, including refugees, gets a house. All of it is paid for and the budget proposal is balanced.

Plenty of empty buildings in Hastings like Queensbury house the big building opposite the Hastings train station amongst many other buildings. The old Chatsworth hotel, which the local council filled up with migrants who absolutely wrecked the place.They prioritised the migrants instead of the local British homeless people.
There will be more and more homeless people because the wages are in Hastings on average only £12 per hour, and to rent a 2 bedroom house is on average £1200 per month.
So you do the maths the wages are almost gone on the rent alone.
"WE CAN'T PAY OUR RENT BUT THE MIGRANTS GET FREE HOTEL HOMES."
THIS GOVERNMENT HAS A LOT TO ANSWER FOR THEY HAVE CAUSED POVERTY IN THE UK 🇬🇧 ON A MASSIVE SCALE AND IT'S NOT GETTING ANY BETTER.
AND THE BOATS ARE STILL COMING.😮😮😮😢😢😢😢
