0:20 this is why I love dime’s style. I don’t know/care what mode or scale this is (probably nothing) but it sounds dissonant in a way that tickles the back of my brain. To follow that up with something pentatonic, and a few squeals, and tremolo picking, is why he was one of the GOATs. This play through is flawless and and an awesome tribute.
