Hi Gary - for whatever reason I totally missed this video . I’ve been wondering for months about the pitch on the Deus 2 as opposed to the Deus 1, and then I stumble onto this video ! The Deus 1 is far and away better than the 2 especially in my iron infested sites when using pitch. Your Tekkna program is now my go to on most hunts and it hasn’t let me down .

Great stuff Gary - one of the things this video shows, is that you don't often miss much on the Deus 2, even with a Low Reactivity. I always try and 'Roll' with R1.5 and, if the ground is pretty busy, then I just need to listen really carefully... If the ground is too crazy for this, then yeah I might notch up to R2.5 - but mostly I'll just sack it and go somewhere else... 🤣 Thanks as ever mate, Bob K 🙏🏻

I use the XY for an Indikator for depth. Sometimes it helps to say if its a small thing on the surface or a bigger target in depth.

I do like the XY screen, but I always pay more attention to the audio. Especially in trashy sites there are many holes where I dig up something good with a piece of iron in the hole with it. I hope to get a Deus II someday. I swing the Deus I, and the Orx at the moment. Thanks for your great videos Gary.

Ive been using the deus 2 for a few months and only the other day realised i was looking at the wrong numbers on the xy screen, what are the numbers on the right corner of the screen?

Thanks Gary, good info as always. The tiny screen is one reason I'm not so keen on getting a D2 although (to be fair) the audio is more important. I use the XY on my Deus mainly for helping ID the coke.

If you ignore the screen totally and use full tones only you will find a lot of stuff numbers or xy screen will tell you not to dig. And yes reactivity is the key!

Hi Gary. I absolutely agree with you re a clear uncluttered XY screen.

I am just about to get a Deus 2 (ran a Deus one for several years, loved it). Went to Manticore but returning to Deus now! I seem to remember I could set that old D1 up so it would not register coke at all or am I dreaming?

The reason I am contacting you is, I have a suggestion to improve your vids even more. The D1 had lots of great vids (the old sonar prog was the tops) but I hope the D2 is also going to have great vids but here's the thing; how about creating a list so we can look back on older vids more easily e.g. TEKKNA PROG - PITCH PLUS - EMI with a list of links?

Maybe in mono program?

Hi Gary. Im using prog 1, General as not long bought Deus 2 from a Deus 1. I prefer the xy screen. Can i somehow save the xy screen for that prog as i have to change it everytime i turn the remote on. Cheers Gary. ❤

I used to use it as ferrous and non ferrous indicator when detecting coins in Aust also good depth indicator x-y screen on deus 1
