'Reaper of death' dinosaur discovered in Alberta

Researchers from the University of Calgary and the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Alberta have discovered a new species of dinosaur that once terrorized the province.

As Heather Yourex-West explains, the creature dubbed the "reaper of death" was a smaller, but still vicious cousin of the tyrannosaurus rex.

Strange that the oldest point in time where "we" start to get dinosaur fossil is 79 million years ago. That's the mid Cretaceous period, near the end of the Mesozoic.
