met Duane Eddy at a dance in South Bend IN. It was 1960 and I was a very cool 13 year old. Top notch guy...took the time to talk to us

Remember going to see the Ventures in July of ‘65 before shipping out to Vietnam . Got back to the States for good in 1968 and couldn’t believe how the music had changed . Family and friends couldn’t believe how I had changed . Went from being positive and happy to being … just being . Now as an old man I look at all the time I wasted . The Ventures remind me when life was easy and good .

Kudos To All The Brave Young Dedicated, Brave Young Lads (and Gals) Who Stood Up For Not Only Fellow Americans...But, Also Risked (And Lost) Their Lives Fighting For Many, Many Other's Freedom.
Yes, While I Am Truly A Proud Canadian...I Will Always Pay Tribute & Respect WHAT AMERICA DID FOR CANADIANS.
MAY...WE NEVER FORGET YOUR SACRIFICE....AND ALWAYS HAVE THE UNITED STATE'S BACKS, NO MATTER WHAT !!
Much Of The World Owes America..More Than They Will Ever Know.

When I was young my dad was a country-western fan, and when we would ride in the car we would hear this song by Floyd Cramer, and I loved it then and I still love it now. Now because of the memories. Of what we felt was like a peaceful time and in part of my youth

That was a great artistic period post war, like a cultural renaissance, not just in Britain and the US, it happened in Japan and Hong Kong, where the greatest songs were written and sung. It was infectious. A glorious, peaceful, happy and hopeful period in history.

The Ventures made handsome livings in Japan. They were guitar "gods" of several generations. They performed hundreds of songs to huge crowds. Go into any guitar shop. You will see Mosrite guitars and Wilson guitars (Don Wilson and son) dominating the displays.
Many copies as well and some Japanese creations of similar design.
The Ventures produced 200+ albums of a dozen genres. I proudly have 88. Except for 'Hawaii 5-0', the US meandered in other directions. BUT IN Japan there are new copy bands born everyday!!
RIP fellas..
