I remember seeing a book about a god court where tricksters were lawyers. coyote, Loki, Anansi as lawyers always made me laugh. Wish I could find it again

Sly Peter and Matchmaker Fox (Хитър Петър и Кума Лиса) are involved in literally hundreds of classic Bulgarian stories, fables and fairy tales. There are so many, that they are classified. For example, Sly Peter has a number of stories where he tricks Nastradin Hodja (a Muslim folk hero). Matchmaker Fox tricks her "Best Man Wolf" (Кумчо Вълчо) in a whole cycle of stories.

We have a family song that my Nana used to sing to me about "Beau Reamus, " which, in the only other version of the song that I can find, is "Bon Reynard." I have looked all over the internet for this song and can only find one other mention of it, but I wonder if it's about the same trickster...🤔

Fun fact: October 31st is officially Saci’s day and not actually Halloween in Brazil, and it’s meant to celebrate brazilian folklore as a whole instead of international folklore!

3:23 juha isnt the corrent name his name is Nasreddin and bacause he is a wise figure we call him nasreddin hodja. in turkhis we dont call people by names if they are older or your teacher just line in japanese culte we add "abi, abla, teyze amca" depending on age and gender hodja is someting like sensei in turkhis
