JB WELD A CRACKED SR20 ALLOY ENGINE BLOCK?

Recently after acquiring the Datsun, Andrew noticed a couple of drips of coolant on the floor. After tracing the leak we found a 20mm long hairline crack in the water jacket around cylinder 4, which was ever so slightly weeping a couple of drops of coolant while engine was running/cooling back down.

Is the engine made of aluminium ? Can you tell me the welder rods type that you have used and heat degree that makes it melt .. i have one question here .. will it effect the valve stem seals ? This heat could harm oil seals from inside

dang alloy blocks Honda had a extended warranty to fix there cracking blocks but didn't want to officially recall them so many 07s will be screwed soon when they start cracking
