There was one time when the Dummy Actually used death counter. This was because a bug where if you used an emote, And the emote I am talking about was "Take my money" And at that time this was when tatsu was still Early access. And if you were to hit someone while they do the emote You'll get death counter. And because of this Anyone could death counter using any character, And on some random day a kid captured the Weakest Dummy Actually death countering the user. This was possible because as the person use Genos 4th Ult move The dummy respawned while doing the "Take my money" emote death counter the User.

Before the counter upd the developer already make the counter code in the dummy but still didnt make the code for the animation of the counter and damage code so preys peril is just a place holder for when the dummy can counter and its rare just like how rare the dummy can counter you today

it's not a server detection issue, most attacks/moves in the game have specific keyframes that trigger damage, sounds and vfx, those keyframes are called animation events

the dummy played the prey's peril animation and was stuck at an animation event, although, the prey's peril functionality won't work

no, it is kind of a server problem. it was probably a very short issue where the variable for using a move came from a user and SOMEHOW got redirected.

The server cant assign the dummy to a Player because actually the player is made out of 2 instances, one called "Player" and other named "Character" (this isnt character but a model, were saying that to make it easily to understand). The difference between the both is that the player instance is kind of a representation of the client and the character is the character you are controlling. The player is given a character at the start of the connection with the player and the server assign it only 1 time (except if a script call for a detection but it cannot go wrong + The Strongest Battleground only call for a player detection when someone got hit by anything). So the video where you can see the dummy countering is simply fake.

The way they did this is the following :
They took an uncopylocked version of The Strongest Battleground (uncopylocked means that you have access to a copy of the game in Roblox Studio, in the case of tsb, this option is disabled so it might be a hacked place) then they applied a script in the dummy to play the Prey's Peril's animation.
