I miss the good old days of the grand meowster serving me delicious meat dishes.

I've been playing for 10.5 hours, and I haven't skipped these scenes once because they're so damn charming.

It's cute and all but it doesn't have actual cooking scenes with comically large dishes that make me hungry like in MH World

See, because a Hunter's job is highly demanding of physical fitness, the large dishes in World made sense because you get the calories and nutrients from the food, and then burn it all off while running, jumping, climbing, swinging giant blades around, holding onto a dragon for dear life while stabbing it in the eyeballs, all while potentially wearing VERY heavy armor. That takes a lot of calories, and thats why they always makse just huge platters.

Here, that looks like it could barely help me take down a Great Jagras! And thats PITIFUL!

I usually skip these scenes, but whenever I do a very story-important hunt (like one of the final bosses) for the first time, I let the scene play all the way through.

These hunters must be starving. Those servings could barely fill a normal person, where a hunter should eat his own weight in meat twice daily! Clearly these chefs weren't trained by Grammeowster.

Gonna be honest, these are not terrible but by far from the monster hunter games i have played i like these ones the least, not nearly as much variety, it focuses more on the stick play than the actual food itself, and the song is slightly annoying, not bad once or twice every once in a while, but if i absolutely had to listen to it over and over it would drive me nuts, i enjoyed every single one from world to some degree and no one beats grandmeowster and that grandma dinner vibe. The fact it has no extra variety of food is what is the most dissapointing part in my opinion.
