We empty the grain bins as we sell corn!

How Farms Work is a YouTube channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. Our videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and GMO crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us.

How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Be sure to subscribe for new videos every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 11AM Central!

Doing it the long way huh. You're supposed to shovel and sweep with the auger as it moves!

Being a city boy and driving through the country at times, I've always wondered about those big steel bins. Thank-you for the digital tour and answering an enquiring mind. More appreciation for where our food comes from and how it gets to our tables.

It was really neat watching the sweep in action from the top of the bin. So nice of Travis to “volunteer” for the job. Usually big brothers make little brothers do all the “not so fun” jobs.

It’s so satisfying watching the sweep going around the bin.

There's nothing corny about the way you get the job done. This old Vietnam vet gets a kick out of watching you guys work so well together.:)

Ive been watching your channel for about 2 years now and wow has this channel grown. When i first came across your channel i of course had to go back to the very beginning and catch up. Being local to Wisconsin myself i love watching the all the farms in my area go through the different stages of field prep, planting, spraying and harvesting in the fall, Thank you to you, your family, and all farmer's across the world, Maybe on day i could afford a small plot of land where i could grow enough food to support me and my family.Thank you again and keep up the hard work.

My kids think the video was really cool how it showed emptying the grain bin out entirely. There is not a lot of big bins around us so this was something new to see!

Looks like the combine is doing a very good job with the grain. That was some clean looking corn coming out of the bins.

As a city boy trying his best to help his grandpa out on the farm during the summer months. I think I can say I have a slightly better understanding of how this works. Thank you!
