Piper Comanche landing gear transmission free play check

This is a "Dura" transmission on a Piper Comanche. The gear is raise partially and we are checking for play between the jack screw and the housing. By pulling back and forth on the manual gear handle we can check for play in the transmission. No play is allowed. The bearing retainer is most likely worn allowing this one to move in and out.
