Hundred Waters are certainly the most original musicians I can think of ... they constantly push the envelope in terms of songwriting, musicianship and just modern and completely new musical ideas. Those soaring and swooping synth arpeggios, the subtle inclusion of the oboe, breaking the rules of songwriting completely by putting all the verses at the beginning, tricking us into believing the "who have i lived for" sections were choruses, when actually they only swing into the chorus ("you wait for it to happen...") at the end of the song... brilliant. And Nicole Miglis' voice ... sweet and breathy and at the same time full of emotion and power, how she does it I don't know ... and that acrobatic vocal swoop at the very end of the song, incredible and she makes it sound effortless! And I can't even begin to go on about this Allie Avital-directed video ... I'd be here all day. Nicole is sweetness and charm personified.
