Air Crete is lightweight, Fire Proof, and bug resistant. We use portland cement mixed with foam to create air crete. It has great insulation qualities and budget friendly. In this DIY we build a dog house out of air crete. It took a total of six panels and once cured went up fast. for a awesome looking, and insulated dog house.

Super cool. They took to the dog house quick. Signs of happy dogs.

you could use flat strap steel wall brace with the pre drilled holes to screw panels together or thicker gauge flat brackets and a top & bottom plate flashing track system for big walls

The copper wire lacing is a very ingenious idea.it sort of reminds me of the shoe laces on my Grandmother’s high top shoes. May
She Rest In Peace .
Mel, I think Darwin looks good inside of it, I hope you save it for future use.
You’ll make my day as your the first vid I look at when I get up in the morning and enjoy with my cup of coffee.

Dog house like that needs to be on a air Crete pad.

Maybe next time make one of the roof slaps 3.5 inches longer so it overlaps the other at the top. Then run a bead of silicone for waterproofing. Not that water proofing matters much when there is no floor in the house.

wondering why keep the metal form at all. the lego shap is comp;ex but a standard la[ jpont m a removable form might...

Sadie has a new fallout doghouse.. Maybe tie it in with a aircrete pad and treat the dissimilar metals and spray an aircrete colorcoat? And some aircrete ridgecaps? I think the dogs are gonna love it on a hot day to cool out and to stay warm in the winter though I don't think aircrete holds heat but is a good insulator

Post design photo of project. Consider using short t post to stabilize in ver high wind. Raise 6 inches off the ground to prevent them digging holes. I looks like is will be worth every penny as extreme temperatures continue both hot and cold.
Experiment with 3 inch foam to keep bellies cool in summer, warm in winter.

I may have missed something, but why use wire to bind it together? I suppose if it is simply what you had on hand...

It would be nice to have a note in the description box that say's how much concrete was used, I'm really wondering how much concrete air crete saves. Very nice work, this stuff is so versatile.

I've seen many cases where the lime from the concrete quickly nullifies the zinc coating on those metel struts. Rust ensures quickly after that

Now you just need an aircrete ridge cap or maybe pour some thin shingles.

I can understand using hardware cloth for reinforcing the aircrete, but shouldn't it be in the middle rather than on one surface?
