Budapest’s Hungaroring may be a happy hunting ground for McLaren, as the most successful team there since the event began in 1986.

But, it was both heaven and hell for the outfit in 2024, with Oscar Piastri, who became just the fifth Australian to secure a Grand Prix win, leading home teammate Lando Norris for the papaya squad’s first one-two result since 2021, and first in Hungary for 25 years. Lando should have owned his situation. Let Piastri through after the pit stop and then raced him. It would have been a good Grans Prix. What was McLaren thinking? Piastri's high risk pass on POLE MAN Lando was his ticket to victory. We are at half stage in the championship and Lando needs every point. There is a seat at Merc. Take it.

Lando was screwed to be put in that position for no reason, OP needed to close the gap. Hamilton was never in danger of catching them. Is was ANOTHER bad pit team move. You don’t give up 6 sec with 1/4 race distance remained, a safety car incident would have changed everything so I blame the team for making Lando look like the bad for no apparent reason. BTW, champion drivers would not tolerate this nonsense, from a drivers perspective they need to look out for themselves.

Had Piastri been close (< 2 seconds), I think it would've been the thing to do for Norris to let him through, However, Piastri's driving and pace was weaker than Norris.
Piastri was 6 seconds back, Norris didn't have to give up the place.

Putting a Red Bull back in the points is not stunning. That car should be driving for the lead of the race not fighting to end in the points 😂😂😂😂

I hate team orders. If you aren't up front, for whatever reason. Uou lose.

Winning the race by mean of team order was the most disgusting thing ever done in this sport. FIA ought to ban team order practices in order to preserved this sport integrity and healthy competitive spirit on and off track.
