Excellent review! Enjoy your channel! Ive shot with both the Z7 and the D850 and for me, the Z7 wins. Im in my 60s so my hands aren't as steady as when I was younger and the IBIS in the Z7 (with the native glass) is just superb. Also, I have shot with both the 24-70 f/4 S lens on the Z7 and the 24-70mm f/2.8 (non VR) lens on the D850 and there is no comparison in IQ. The S lens is superior. Since the firmware update Ive noticed a huge improvement with EVF blackout, and low light focus. The eye AF works well enough and not having to micro adjust lenses is also a huge advantage! The Z mount will open up tremendous opportunity for future development. I have no regrets whatsoever selling my D850 and going with the Z7. The D850 is probably the best DSLR ever made and the AF is better, at this juncture, than that of the Z7 in terms of sports and fast moving subjects, but the gap is closing and with all of the other advantages of the Z7, including the EVF, I am convinced that for someone like me, it is the way to go! Take care, Rick

Great format for a review. Mixing your own experiences with some professional photographers is a really great format.

Great review! I have a Z7 with the 24-70 and 35 native lenses so far. Handling and ergonomics are fantastic. The stills and video are excellent. I also have a D850 and several F lenses and they work great with the Z adapter. I had a Sony A73 body with G-Master lenses but sold everything after a couple weeks with the Z7. The A73 was a nice camera but I love the Z7.

Great review. You have convinced me that Nikon and Canon will be making more mirrorless for all applications.

As a wedding photographer I pre-ordered a Z Nikon and when I saw it had 1 card slot I cancelled my pre-order, I bought from B&H a used D800 to fill the gap till the next Gen of Z cameras come out hopefully this time it will have 2 card slots and then I will get it. Also saw in most reviews the AF of the Z cameras is still not as good and reliable as Nikons top tear AF systems. I am sure Nikons Z6II and Z7II will have a much better AF system and as I said 2 card slots.

The biggest issue with Z6 and Z7 is that every review says something different about the AF performance. It seems there is no definite opinion like with say Sony A7III where people unequivocally prise its AF. I wish there was more clarity in that regard out there. I actually like these cameras, though I am a Canon user. I personally would prefer to get any of the new Nikons over EOS R.

Guys, could you also include review about the video mode on the camera like Jordan did back then?

You keep mentioning the "FTZ adapter" but you never talk about it.

Why did the first and second generation Sony mirrorless cameras get bashed and thrashed so much more than the Nikon or Canon's for only having 1 memory card slots? Shouldn't the Nikon and Canon get more beating for having only 1 memory card slot in 2019?!
