I think it would be important to mention any machining differences with going to an aftermarket block. Also if/when an abradable coating is used during this process, in another video perhaps

In theory if I have a stock block and stock caps with just arp studs. I have to measure the main bores and if they’re within limit of the manufacturer I don’t need an align hone?

On an engine i've disassembled, when i bolt the main caps with the bearings they don't line up. I have to slighty hit the caps back or forth to align them. Is that normal?

With ARP bolts, do you put some lubricant on the thread that goes into the block or only on the top thread and the nut?

Hmm Is the 2j at disadvantage not Tying the main caps at right angles in the block as in 1 uzfe and Ls engines

Why does performance rods have dowel pins to keep the caps from misaligning but these main caps don`t.
