You apparently did not read the directions on how to replace the filter. You are supposed to soak the filter in water for 10 minutes. Then dump out the first two or three pitchers of water

My light does not flash when i pour. But it does when i hold it down. Are you sure yours does?

that indicator light is a timer and will turn red after 90 days for replacement whether you have filtered ONE gallon or 200 !!!
