Spam fries are fun and easy to make. They are also incredibly yummy. Actually, this recipe takes a simple can of spam and elevates it to the next level. Breaded with flour, garlic, paprika, pepper, egg, and bread crumbs, the fries have a full bodied flavour. Combined with the delicious dipping sauce that we show you how to make, these Spam fries will be an instant hit at any party.

On a side note, it's hard to believe that Spam dates back to 1937, became a wartime staple, and gained worldwide popularity after World War II. Actually, in may parts of Southeast Asia Spam is a delicacy. When I lived in South Korea, it was often exchanged as a gift on holidays and special occasions.

We used to have spam fritters once a week for school dinners in the sixties. Brilliant cold-weather food for active kids, but not when you get older, or on go the pounds!

*Update!!* Alright, so I tried the recipe, and it was awesome! It was soo tasty. I followed all the instructions. The only thing I changed though, was the mustard. I didn't have any on hand, so I just used Spicy Brown Mustard, and added a bit of salt to give it a bit more flavor, it was to die for!! Omg! Thanks so much! It was really good. :D

Since I loveeee the smell of meat being deep fried, I actually inhaled deeply while they were in the pan 😂😂 as if I'm gonna smell them from a phone...
