I love charvel/strat guitar. I mean to me When shredding was at it's all time high in the 80s. There was not a better guitar to use, I mean cmon jake e. Lee, Stevie vai, Dokken? an many more.
I think charvel version of the strat is the coolest version of that design and of course G&L( Leo fender) are baddass too.. The G&L commanche strat With the honey burst/ birds eye maple!!!! oh my goodness. Absolutely freakin breath taking guitar. . The prettiest strat I have ever seen. In the way they configure their three single coils is like the p-bass pickups kinda how it's configured only much smaller. I believe it's got five different settings.
Fernandes strats are pretty cool too, like Kirk Hammett 's on garage a Custom job! Killa!
The G&L Tele is bout as good of a tele out there. Example Sunburst ASAT Custom classic/ '97 tobacco burst. says morty. Talk about holding its value. But there was very few of these beauty's, id say about 100.

I got the Sean Long Charvel last week (my first brand new guitar) and god DAMN it's great! I've loved every second of playing it, it's just so damn smooth!

Got the charvel pro mod rootbeer burst. Shredder in the bridge, jazz in the neck. Light maple neck. Floyd rose 1000 that you can literally beat the hell out of and never go out of tune. For a Metal sounding strat?? It definitely delivers.

All of my guitars are distressed & relic'd because I ACTUALLY PLAY THEM. My jeans are also distressed because, you guessed it, I wear them.

But why do prices keep creeping up? The sweet spot (hell, the max) for import guitars was about $1000, not over $1500. That’s a 50-60% price increase. I know there’s a lot of labor going into relicing, etc. but labor is still really cheap in the far east.

I wish they would just release a hardtail tele style chug machine in classic colors. Sunburst, vintage white, blonde, etc.
