Saudi government is not representative of Islam and nor do its people represent Islam. They just use it when they want to, to their advantage. Allah will judge them for what they do. Allah is the best judge.

Walahi, I wouldn't even follow what the Saudi administration is doing if our sacred places were not inside that country. I can't even say anything bad about them because of the love I have for my beloved Prophet PBUH. The truth is that most of the general population is truly oppressed; whoever shows their opinion faces severe consequences. They got tested and they failed, So, may Allah guide them.

I don't think he's doing anything without public support. The Saudis are not as religious as we think they are. I'd say "Do whatever hell you want but protect the holy sites"

As it always happened in history and will keep on happening... Allah will always snatch the throne from those who turn their back on him.

Saudi Arabia is a large state which includes diverse Arab cultures within its vast borders. Like many countries around the world, it contains major cities, towns, and villages. The mindsets in those settlements differ, along with the aspirations, ambitions, and goals of their citizens.

The arguments and debates that stir up when Saudi Arabia is mentioned in the religious or political arena usually get very heated due to many reasons. The most vital of those reasons being: 1. Saudi Arabia’s geographic location being at the center of a volatile region. 2. Saudi Arabia’s wealth and influence on the global stage. 3. Saudi Arabia being the epicenter of the Islamic faith, due to Mecca and Medina.

To paint Saudi Arabia with a single brush is an impossible thing to do. To generalize how Saudis feel about one political matter or the other is a short sighted way to go about things. Whilst some city dwellers may benefit from and outwardly support a non-traditional policy change, villagers may be less inclined to do so particularly when they may have less to benefit from such a change. Bedouins and their staunch affiliation to the monarchy adds yet another complex layer to the Saudi demographic.

Truth of the matter is Saudi Arabia is far more complicated than it appears. But you do get the sense that Saudi Arabians realize that Islam is a core part of their identity. No matter what their views are and how far those views stray away from their faith, they know that their true value is in their faith. This only means that if they do make mistakes, they will fall back on their faith to rectify them. Bottom line is they are people just like all of us. God puts them through tests and tribulations. And they know very well what happens to them if they fail those tests. Speak good of your brothers whomever they are and always pray for them. I can only wish them the best as an Arab because I know that we all prosper together.

Being almost 100% Muslim country, it is sad that Saudi ambition is following the West way of life.

Saudi econoic hardship is the worst in decades. People are suffering in silence; if you speak you are sentenced to long period in jail ehile billions are wasted on entertainment and his unfeasible fantacy prjoects

2030 will arrive with a big realitu check; hundreds of billions spent with no return on investment

Yet, who is going to to hold MBS accountable?

For the Saudis here supporting this regime and so called changes we dont care a bit if you drive yourselves to jahannam but the reality is that this establishment is oppressing both its own people who criticise it and the others in the region whose countries are already in shambles so if you see us concerned we are coming mostly from a place of empathy for the oppressed and tje downtrodden in the ME

The Saudis were and are already apolitical and have had zero contribution in the political scene since the grandfather of MBS took hold of the country.
The trade off is you get liberal life style and you give up your islamic identity. Islam is the most dominant factor on Saudis life in general. It dictates how they dress, how they eat, how they speak, how they think, how they interact with others, how they make business...
MBS and his father before him worked hard to get rid of that religious hold on his people.
He succeeded to an extent. Only the people who were already indifferent about religion are happy about this exchange. Some of the youth are giving up their religion for the new hedonistic life style because they don't see hope down the tunnel. But in general people are religious, they care about Islam and if they see any little hope that this satanic family (the Saudis) will be removed from power, they will overwhelmingly choose Islam over any other imposed life style. Simply because it is the best there is.
Ironically our beloved prophet may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has prophesied that it will become even worse until some people will go back to what their idolater ancestors have worshiped. But eventually Islam will prevail over this planet of ours just like it does in the heavens.

But Saudis have not had any political participation under previous rulers either, so why would they now contemplate whether it’s viable. All that’s changed in terms of social contract is more upside for them
