I’m late, but the separation of the water based taco is because it contains water, and being placed on an oily surface it doesn’t sit without spreading- but at least there was holo 📀

I've spotted the problem! When you rub your finger on the already cured gel top coat, the oils of your fingers are transferring on to the already cured nail. So when you rub in the chrome powder, it doesn't stick as well because the oils are preventing it from sticking. You're welcome Cristine!
