John Ramsey, the father of JonBenét Ramsey, and Joe Berlinger, director of the upcoming Netflix docuseries “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey?” join TODAY to speak out on the new push to solve the nearly 28-year-old murder case. “I believe it can be solved," Ramsey says, and points to the "flaw" that's hindered the investigation for more than two decades.

I will never forget where I was when I first read about the story. My mom took us to a local library in Clarksville, TN. We had just moved there. I sat down and saw a newspaper with Jonbenet’s face and a headline that she was found dead in her home.

I was only 12. I remember reading the article and feeling so sad for her. As I got older every now and again I had hoped and prayed the killer would be found. I just turned 40. Man this world is so wicked. RIP Jonbenet 🩷

Crazy that this case has been cold for so long. Even crazier that the police station has never requested outside help from more experienced and more equipped agencies. I didn’t think they were allowed to even do that. If the victim’s family is requesting more help, they should have the right to receive it.
