Hi thanks for the review. I was actually comparing these two tvs and considering the DU8000 only because it has an optical output and I have an older receiver that doesn't have the HDMI ARC but has Optical. Is there a converter cable from ARC out to Optical in being made these days? I am hoping so so that I can consider a purchase of the DU7200. Thanks!

Hi Steve 9days ago you said the DU8000 had a greenish screen I agree. But a prior video dated around 2 months ago the same model didn’t Was the 9day old a faulty tv Did to get it taken care of. Would you chance getting a 55”8000 or the 55” 7200?

Do they both have VRR? On the samsung website it says they do but I noticed in your individual videos only the du7200 did.

Personally, I kind of like the brighter version, plus I have bit darker living room set up. Also, I'm a little red/green color blind so I'm not picking up so much on the green tones. Can the du7200 be brightened up much more?

Thanks for the info.. I was wondering if you know the longevity of both of the TV's? how many years will I get out of each one? I need to buy one but not sure which one to get. I don't use any of those apps because I'm 72 years old and don't need them. I just watch movies and reg. tv shows.. Thanks...

Which one would you recommend for gaming. I currently use my gaming monitor for competitive gaming that is 2K with hdr. But really looking for a game room tv. To play some of the story mode games that play at 4K 30 or 60fps

If it was me if I want less features to save money I would get the DU7200, but if I want more features then I would skip the DU8000 and get the Q60D tv. 🙂 I wouldn’t even bother with the DU8000 tv.

Under Expert settings, I'd probably move the "Tint (G/R)" to see if that helps the picture. There's a lot of other things out there that will fix the green tint. I had a similar issue with my G9 OLED I just got a few days ago, and had to really dial in the settings to get it looking nice. Just the unfortunate thing about Samsung screens right now, they really need to be adjusted A LOT out of the box. Once that's done, they look great. But for the average user, they're not going to want to spend an hour adjusting colors. And that's if they even know how.
