How to Override Stuck MetaMask Pending Transactions To Fix Them

Pending or stuck MetaMask transactions can be very frustrating! This often occurs due to a gas fee set too low or a busy network. Transactions can be overridden by creating a new transaction that uses the pending transaction nonce value. You can do this by going into the Settings / Advanced section of MetaMask and enabling the "Customize transaction nonce" feature. This option states for you to "Turn this on to change the nonce (transaction number) on confirmation screens. This is an advanced feature, use cautiously." MetaMask transaction often get stuck due to setting gas fees to "Market" or too low, or trying to put through transactions during peak or busy times.
