Astrea is definitely looking good. Making it into GSL is a huge achievement and the trajectory is looking really good for him.

Sad thing is almost any other zerg he wins this series with how well he played. Dark is just next level

52:00 Damn everything fell apart starting from here, main army caught a little off guard and right before all those Shield Batteries could finish... Otherwise he may have been able to hold that forward position and came out slightly ahead or at least trade and kill most of Dark's and remax on his higher worker count. I liked the idea of keeping his worker count high and spamming defensive buildings, they just weren't able to finish :(. With the bank he had he really should have had more HTs ready, only had ~3 HTs for some Feedbacks and also imagine if he had those ~20 Zealots flanking those Hydras/Infestors instead of killing Dark's buildings on the left, but just having like 7 Storms might have been enough to protect himself.
Tough decisions though and really shows how hard it is to be a pro. Even just looking at the VOD it's hard to be sure, in the moment is super hard. It seemed like Astrea's main army was surprisingly weak but Dark's army was 20 supply higher AND Astrea had about 40 supply in Zealots away, so the main fight was really like Dark's 140 supply vs Astrea's 80 supply and without Batteries. I suppose having the Zealots away to counterattack was fine, Dark just attacked at a great time and right before all those Batteries could finish, and more HTs for Storm could have made the difference. Also sucks that he had a chance to rebuild his army but he lost like 8 Void Rays from the rally.
Anyways though, really well played in general and hope to see more of him! Seemed like things were lining up really well Game 2 but a few small things unfortunately led to it all falling apart.

The commentators said Astrea played chess and I feel like it was a good insight. Astrea prepared/played Game 2 so that he is just a tiny step ahead of his opponent... At 33:56 he is getting double robo already because he knows Dark tends to create roach + ravager heavy unit composition. At 41:12 he is already preparing upgrade for void rays because he assumed that Dark would create a bunch of corrupter to counter his carriers. In terms of the framework/strategy prepared in Game 2 Astrea was ahead, but the execution wasn't up to par, so overall he lost the game. Speaking of execution, if Astrea had micro like Zest, I feel like he'd be a monster... After watching Astrea games in GSL, he seems to get hit by ravager bile a lot on key units.

24:40 The little hints of Artosis' rage is so unbelievably funny in a really subtle way, instantly reminds me of his trash talk of BW protoss players during his streams.

Oh god the ending is so hard to watch. First the weird rally for the void rays breaks my heart, then I become really excited for the hive snipe and that goes down the toilet too
