Remember the difference in the airline you pick (and the rpice you pay for your ticket) is the quality (rather experience) of pilots. Emirates and the like require more hours and training as opposed to low star rated airlines.

The plane looks amazing. People shouldn't complain about any technical problems in a plane. A metal tube transporting hundreds of people is made of sophisticated tech, and problems can happen. Be thankful that you live in this century, travelling in planes instead of rat infested ships.

So it stopped because the planes computer system deemed the runway "too short" and it automatically turned on the brakes. I dont know if the runway was actually too short or an error in information was put in by the pilots but damn, that shows how safe and reliable these new airbus planes are to override the pilots when it deems a situation hazardous. It could have been an actual short runway and would have saved a lot of lives.

being a pilot its kinda funny seeing people over react to situations like these... if the plane stopped on the runway safety i would be very happy and relieved. Id rather an error be found on the ground rather than in the air. Also, it would give the pilots more time to recheck.

22R has a displaced threshold. You can take off (but not land) using this area, which is before the actual runway threshold bars. Looks as though the computer got confused by the displacement area and stopped them prior to the actual runway area. Look at where they stopped. It's at the stripes that mark the beginning of the runway.

Thank God for seat belts. They put some dust on those brake drums stopping 3/4 of a million lbs. of airplane moving at over 100 mph. Awesome video.
