*What if the gods never fell? Everyone wonders that, looking at history, wondering how exactly we fell. The truth is, we didn’t. We never fell, we just left.

Some of our skilled writing gods took to weaving a history that would be believable. Now, we watch from afar, not having to meddle in the human’s affairs.

History isn’t true, and it’s never been true. The humans believe it, every lie that they’ve been fed. Alas, us gods could never fall.*

Arthos looks up from his writing, sensing a disturbance in the air. He stands up, looking out the window, and his brow furrows.

Arthos’s assistant, Musin, bursts through the door, gasping for breath. “Sir!”

“There’s no need, Musin. I see it.”

Arthos sits back down, scrawling a few more sentences before he stands back up.

*Something I may have forgotten to mention is that we live in different communities. My community is peaceful, a building, gardening community. The closest community is a war community. We’ve known this was coming for a long, long time. *

Arthos grabs his sword, resting it in it’s hilt, before following Musin out the door.

They walk out into chaos, the gods fighting anything and everything in sight.

Arthos nods at Musin, and then they take flight.

THIS IS FROM THE POV OF ONE OF MY CHARACTERS:

Then this whole concept of “Religion” would never exist. Right? I mean humans are an interesting species and they tend to dedicate their entire life to a being that they can’t even prove exists. Because if these so called “gods” did exist, then there’s no real point in going into a building to talk to one of them.
