What a cute idea! I think desensitizing them is a fantastic idea. As a groomer I have experienced so many dogs who are super sensitive to their feet being touched which is incredibly difficult for shaving pads and doing nails. Not to mention it's just plain cute and something to remember them by.

just a suggestion, after dipping the puppies paws in the paint dab them on a paper towel. The the paw prints come out really nice 👌 Cute video 🥰

It is really good to expose them to as many (non threatening) situations as possible as puppies because it helps them to not be afraid of new things as adults. Our dog we got at a year is super jumpy in nervous because she stayed in a small room like 24/7 as a puppy and still has a hard time adapting. Our dog we got as a puppy can sleep through the Fourth of July and didn’t bat an eye when a someone on horseback ride past on our walk.
