Started doing this 10 years ago with a leaky pneumatic tire on a dolly. Never thought of making a YT video about it. Glad someone else finally did to help others. 👍

This worked amazingly well. After fighting a trailer tire for an hour in the 115 degree heat, I found this method with a youtube search. Thank you for this video.

Much harder work than I ever imagined. Your tie-down strap AND removing the valve stem core made all the difference. thank you!

Great video! I've done the starter fluid method but this is way better! It also doesn't burn the hair off my legs and forearms!

Thanks for video - i seem to need to do the same on my e scooter wheels and had no idea what "seating the beads" was - this video helped me understand the basics

Worked like a charm on my riding lawnmower tires. The tire didn't want to seat and I didn't want to exceed the maximum beading PSI so I gave it a few whacks with a dead-blow hammer and it snapped right into place. Great video!

Great instructional video. I bought a motorcycle for myself recently and since getting professional repairs done around here is impossible, ive been learning how to do like 90% of things myself. To include changing a tire

Just tried the ratchet strap on wider rear atv tires and worked well. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you! I was having a really hard time replacing a tubeless scooter tire and strapping it did the trick.

You're the man. Thanks for the tip; worked great even with a cheap-o portable compressor and a big offroad 265/70 tire

You have the right method.
I discovered another bead sealant that seems to work. Hair Gel, seriously. It's thick, sticky and cheap from the dollar store. Apply it with a 1" paint brush.

Worked! Key point is to remove the value stem. And yes having an air compressor that can deliver a good blast. Very helpful video!

If you can’t get the bead to seat as shown here, try running the strap diagonally across the tire. Also, a wider truckers’ type strap also might work better. Wider straps, with their longer handles and greater leverage, also are easier to release. Successfully seating the bead and airing the tire to ensure it stays put (assuming the valve is left in) makes the ratchet strap really tight.

Thank you so much for this tip! It worked! I did not even want to try the FIRE EXPLOSION method, so thanks again for an alternate way to do it that works great!

Just used this method (without the stem removal) to fix a wheel on a hand truck. Thank you!
