Grimes - “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Not Around”

Finally finished my version of “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Not Around” by Grimes! The part of me that wants to make everything perfect cringes when she watches some parts of this video. I wish I would have had more time, patience and stamina to erase all remaining tracking marks, animate the vines and motion track some of the scenes again (the camera wobbles, I know). Also keying the blade wings was a struggle. Did anyone else have trouble with them? I just couldn’t force myself to fix the wings frame by frame so it is what it is… But hey, I’m still proud of my work and especially for finishing the project although I kept wanting to quit in the end!

Very nice work! Love the modelling. Yeah, keying the blades as they move across tracking markers. Agh! In the end I painted out the markers in Photoshop frame by frame. Fun project!
