If you close your eyes while watching the video you would swear it were at least a trio of percussionists.

So clearly this solo is very professionally executed from a musical and technical standpoint, so bravo to Renato! I must say though, I've listened to this many times, but this is the first time I've listened to it with non-cheap headphones. After really hearing every detail in the melody, I'm just captivated.

Hello my friends! I've been receiving some posts and messages about the way I miked the UDU for this video There are no tricks and you hear what you see: the combination of one single AUDIX ADX51 condenser microphone and a wonderful LP UDU #3. No internal mics, very little EQ!!! The LP UDU is a great instrument that offers wonderful sound possibilities! I hope you enjoy the video and please, don't forget to share and subscribe! All the best to all and stay tuned for new videos coming up!

Oh WOW man, the groove, the rythm, the variation the feel, it goes right through me making me listen to every small nuance and trill. I've always found the simpler the instrument the harder to get it spot on. Cheers fae the Scottish Highlands.

Wow! This is amazing! It is incredible that a simple clay vase with a hole in the side can emit more than 100 sounds.

I saw this/your video about a year ago and said to myself, "This is what I've been searching for!" I bought the LP Udu and loved it. Later I contacted Frank Giorgini and after many emails and conversations bought one of his. Big $$$ but wonderful sound. This is now my favorite percussion instrument and I pay it everyday. I really appreciate your video. Thanks to you, after playing percussion for 50 years, I have found my ultimate instrument.

+++Really love the rhythms that you are able to play! I am a young senior citizen and have always enjoyed percussion and finally have begun to pursue by playing in Drum Circles & at home, . Just seeing someone such as yourself play on an handmade instrument reminds me of earlier days when we were partying & put Santana on... out would come the empty 5 gallon water bottles & we would gather in a group & play "Jingo Rock". The jugs were fun. Love your talent! Thanks for sharing!

I just ordered my first Udu drum yesterday and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I am a percussionist with a love for hand drums. Recently played mostly Djembe drums. I love listening to and watching him. He is awesome.

It sounds so good. I love Udu even if i'm a beginner. I've just finished an arrangement of the classical piece of Erik satie with Udu. You can find it writing "Trois gymnopédies n°1 (Erik Satie) inspiré par Djalâl-ad-Dîn Rûmî" in the search bar. Hoping a good trip for you with it !
