I'm a recent revert. I was a catholic once, then an atheist, then an agnostic until I finally embraced Islam. It's been a long and difficult journey but I'm glad it's taken me back to where I always belonged.

Thank you, Mufti Menk because you're one of the men who have inspired me to learn more and more about Allah. I'm still learning and I know I'm still a sinner, but I'm trying to change for the better every day. Alhamdulila.

I reverted to Islam last week Subhanallah. There is a lot to learn and yes it’s been overwhelming from time to time but the brothers at the mosque have been amazing. One of the brothers has taken me under his wing and no matter what I’ve asked him he always answers with love and respect. Mufti Menk Allah lead me to your video which really hit me right in the heart. May all of Allahs blessing be upon you for what you are doing and all the brothers and sisters out there who go out of their ways to help reverts like myself and converts too. Subhanallah keep me on this path

Not only did I lose friends, I have had to witness the ugly side of my family. My wife, and my son have accepted my new path, it took time, and still they have questions as to why. I have the opportunity to fire back in a vicious manner! I choose rather to just say it came as a revelation. Truth be told I was a drug addict who should’ve been dead according to the doctors. I had six times the lethal amount of a substance in me when I finally decided it had to end or I would end. My wife had left me and joined my son halfway across the country where he was stationed at a military base. I was left alone and laid on the floor in my own filth for a week. It took a few weeks worth of prayer, music, and the isolation I was in to show me how stupid I was being. I can’t judge them because of my actions, even if they were not there when I needed them that was my fault, I had chosen something highly destructive. The part that I have the hardest time with now is friends and family, who can’t understand this is what pulled me out of death and put me on a path to be a better person. Yes I have my days where I am angry, it’s almost like they use my religion to explain that lol it’s nothing further from the truth. I have always had angry moments even before I converted. I have found the less people associate with, the better I am. The problem is is that leaves me lonely! I have no one in central Ohio to associate with yet about the path I’m walking. I have not yet found a Muslim community I can plug into besides the Internet. If anyone reads this and knows people in central Ohio, please send them my way! I need to find people I can talk freely about my religion with! Without these videos here, now, I really don’t know where I would be. Thank you very much Emil blessings be upon all those read this!

I am a revert from the UK 🇬🇧 … I was in hospital during my last year of university with meningitis which caused type one diabetes. In hospital I read a lot about Islam as I was constantly questioning life and humanity. Islam was the only religion to answer every question I had. Alhamdulilah for meningitis and type one diabeties because without them I wouldn’t be Muslim today. God has a plan for everyone, never question it because he has something better. Alhamdulilah I found Islam.

After learning about islam for months and meeting a lot of muslim people, yesterday i finally reverted. There were two things which particulary impressed me. Firstly was how pragmatic and detailed the quran is and with how incredibly kind, sincere and fulfilled the muslims who truly follow islam are.
