Dziękuje!! My grandmother used to sing this every year to me and now that she’s passed I want to regain my Polish heritage by reviewing the language and going to see family there soon. This video brought up so many memories ❤️

My friend is Polish, and today is her 26th birthday. I watched your video, and practiced for 15 minutes and sang it to her. She was so surprised and happy. Thanks for making this video so I could make her day!

Thank you so much!!!! As a 12yr old trying to learn polish is hard, I live in Texas, USA but my great grandparents came here from Poland when Poland was invaded by Germany. So I’m 37% polish and my WHOLE family knows how to speak polish so I wanted to learn too. My last name is Naimolski so that’s how you know I’m polish. No one can pronounce my last name at school😂😂. Thanks for helping me!!

Dzien Dobry Ewelina. I am a community nurse in Australia. Though I have no Polish connection myself, one of my clients is a dear old Polish gentleman, he taught me to say hello and goodbye. Despite his efforts, that was about the extent of any Polish I could pronounce! Thank you for teaching me, after practising over and over, I sang the birthday song to him for his 100th birthday today!!! He had tears of joy, then we sang it again together, such a beautiful moment. Thank you again! Cheers.

Ewelina, this was a great lesson. My family is Polish-American. They love the "Sto Lat" song. Now I know how to say the Polish words & I know what they mean. Thank you, you are a wonderful teacher.

Sto Lat brought back a really sweet early childhood memory. When I was 3 my babcia taught me sto lat to sing to my dziadek. I was his special grandbaby. He was so happy. I can still see both their smiles when I sang. It brought tears to my eyes but tears of joy.

Started seeing a lovely Polish lady during our lockdown in the UK and it's her birthday tomorrow. Figured I'd learn Happy Birthday in Polish as she makes such an effort to speak better English than must of my colleagues haha! Hopefully I don't mess it up to much within 24 hours :-}

You are a naturally gifted teacher. The adults in my family always spoke Polish so we kids wouldn't know what they were saying, ha, ha. They never taught it to any of the younger generations. This has been really helpful in learning it. Thank you!

Thank you for the video. We grew up in singing “Sto Lat” after singing “Happy Birthday” as a family because of my mom’s Polish-American family. It was a tradition that slowly disappeared after my mom died. After watching this video and practicing I will be re-starting the tradition with my own family. Thank you, again.

My uncle is Polish and we grew up singing this for everyone. Even my adopted Cambodian daughter expects it at birthdays! My husband and I are in Cambodia now and he found a video to play because he's not up to singing it alone. I'm brushing up my pronunciation with your video.

ItsEwelina, Thank you so much. I spent three months with Polish Sailors and then some time in Poland this past year. I tried with all my heart to learn some Polish. I mastered a couple of simple phrases. I have tried a couple of Polish online courses - but they don't work for me - because I can't hear the fine differences. You are an amazing teacher. You are clear and distinct. What makes all the difference for me is I can watch your mouth pronounce the sounds. The visual is extremely helpful to me. I can now sing Happy Birthday and I look forward to looking at more of your teaching videos. Please continue to teach those of us who love Poland and want to learn this special language. With Gratitude!
